Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Civil Engineer Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office. Your role Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects. Responsible of design and analysis of safety and non-safety reputed company structures for nuclear and reputed company projects. Interfaces with the other technical disciplines (mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical engineering teams) for structural design and layouts. Applies knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards, and good engineering judgment to ensure the design is compliant with International regulatory criteria and industry best practices. Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods or Finite reputed company Analysis (FEA) to document compliance with project and code requirements, which may include; reputed company analyses, structural reputed company analyses and one-off FEA model analyses. Generates, and is conversant with layout plans, reputed company details, steelwork details and architectural feature design. This includes the design of containment, reactor buildings and support systems with reinforced concrete, steel, and composite/advanced materials. Assists in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications, including coordination with designers in document development in accordance with approved procedures, processes and design requirements. Assists in routine development, management and implementation of engineering analysis, activities and programs to identify and resolve routine equipment and system problems. Familiar with national codes and standards appropriate to the CS&A Engineering discipline. Ensures relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes and site design and safety and licensing reputed company are used in preparation of design media. Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines. Performs checking to ensure accuracy of design media in accordance with company policies and procedures and client expectations. Works to assigned schedules ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiates corrective measures to overcome delays. Recommends new equipment, concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify design, reduce costs, correct design flaws or to reputed company with changes in client requirements, codes or regulations. Supports installation and testing of site systems and components. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior engineers and completes duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. About you Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering or reputed company technical or engineering field. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Experience in nuclear industry preferred. Strong communication skills. Basic knowledge of FEA and other civil design software and reputed company office. In-depth knowledge of strength of materials and structural mechanics. reputed company to complete reputed company technical work with limited supervision. Higher-level knowledge and application of skills of reputed company principles and concepts reputed company to civil and structural design. Familiarity with industry standards and design codes such as ASME, ACI, ASCE and AISC. Excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills. Experience working with designers and manufacturers to reputed company models and drawings; knowledge of software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Tekla and Revit. Prior nuclear industry experience including interactions with NRC or other regulatory authorities. Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered. Additional information Expected compensation reputed company is between $72,000 - $120,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
