[Remote] Senior DevOps Engineer

They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the modernization of reputed company-scale systems and infrastructure for NASA programs, focusing on infrastructure automation, deployment modernization, and reputed company engineering.
Responsibilities
- reputed company and support DevOps initiatives across reputed company applications and backend systems
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes
- Support reputed company and hybrid-reputed company infrastructure modernization efforts
- Improve system reliability, observability, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- reputed company and maintain infrastructure as code and automation frameworks
- Support application deployments, production troubleshooting, and reputed company improvement initiatives
- Design, reputed company, and maintain Java-based backend services and integrations
- Build and support RESTful APIs and distributed system integrations
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders in agile environments
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning activities
- Contribute to software engineering and DevOps best practices across the program
Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or reputed company experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and reputed company infrastructure
- Experience supporting reputed company-reputed company environments using AWS or similar reputed company platforms
- Familiarity with modern DevOps and platform engineering tools such as Jenkins, reputed company CI/CD, reputed company, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Experience implementing infrastructure automation, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code practices in reputed company environments
- Experience supporting application deployment, release management, and operational reputed company initiatives across software delivery teams
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Strong experience with Spring reputed company and RESTful web services
- Experience supporting reputed company applications in production environments
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across application and infrastructure layers
- Experience working reputed company agile software development teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
- Ability to travel onsite to a NASA location for badging and program support
- Strong preference for candidates who can work onsite in Greenbelt, MD as needed
- Experience supporting NASA or federal civilian agencies
- Experience modernizing legacy reputed company systems
- Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
- Experience with Spring Batch
- Experience working reputed company government consulting or federal contracting environments
- Experience supporting reputed company or hybrid-reputed company environments
- Experience establishing or leading DevOps practices across engineering organizations
- Experience with AWS services commonly used in modern application and infrastructure environments

- Familiarity with tools such as reputed company, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, reputed company, or similar monitoring platforms
