[Remote] Sales Engineer – Industrial Robotics

Blue Signal Search is a fast-growing automation innovator looking for a technically strong Sales Engineer to help manufacturers modernize production with advanced robotics and intelligent inspection solutions. The role involves engaging stakeholders, translating operational challenges into automation solutions, and driving commercial execution to enhance customer strategy in a rapidly expanding U.S. business.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with manufacturers evaluating robotic automation, AI inspection, and machine vision initiatives
- Turn inbound interest and targeted outreach into qualified opportunities with OEMs, integrators, and end users
- Translate plant floor challenges into practical solution concepts, scopes, and commercial proposals
- Partner with applications and engineering teams on demos, feasibility reviews, and proof of concept activities
- Build credibility with operations, engineering, quality, and executive stakeholders throughout complex buying cycles
- Manage a disciplined pipeline, forecast accurately, and advance opportunities through negotiation and close
- Support discussions involving software connectivity, system integration, and manufacturing data workflows
- Travel selectively for customer meetings, demonstrations, and late stage evaluations, generally 10 to 20 percent
Skills
- Background in industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, or related manufacturing technology
- Ability to communicate comfortably with both technical and commercial audiences
- Experience running consultative discovery and solution-oriented sales conversations
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows, integration considerations, and customer qualification
- Strong presentation, proposal, and relationship management skills
- Comfortable operating independently in a remote, growth-oriented environment
- Former engineer or highly technical seller with strong engineering fluency
- Experience supporting complex solution sales into manufacturing accounts
- Familiarity with OEMs, systems integrators, or factory automation ecosystems
- Exposure to software integration, connected production systems, or MES and ERP-adjacent discussions
- Track record of progressing opportunities through long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles
