Job description:
- The Data Entry Operator will support the Self-Reported Incident (SRI) entry process into the ASPEN Complaint and Incident Tracking System (ACTS).
- Responsibilities include retrieving documents from the Certification and Licensing System (CALS), entering SRI data into ACTS, uploading supporting documents, ensuring data accuracy and formatting, and saving records appropriately. Initial training will be conducted onsite.
- Upon successful completion and demonstration of quality work, remote work may be permitted with regular check-ins.
- Operates keyboard on data entry equipment (e.g., key to disk, tape or card, video display terminal).
- Operates electric typewriter to transfer coded data to free or preprinted forms for optical scanner.
- Performs clerical tasks related to data processing (e.g., proofreads, files, distributes & mails output, totals data, maintains entry logs).
- Knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication & division.
- Skill in typing; operation of data entry equipment and peripheral machines (e.g., scanner, printer).
- Ability to check pairs of similar/dissimilar items, record figures, proofread, recognize errors, and make corrections.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive data entry tasks.
- Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment:
- Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and in writing and speaking common English.
- Requires at least one course or three months of experience in typing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Training And Development Required To Remain In The Classification After Employment
- May work evening or night shifts. Position requires extended periods of data entry and exposure to constant, low-level equipment noise.
