Job Location: Hershey, PA Job Summary: We are seeking a marketer's marketer, someone who loves brands, strategy, and consumer-first thinking as much as they love coaching and developing others. This role has two primary purposes: advancing Marketing Learning & Development as well as Brand Strategy. In Learning & Development, this role will relaunch the Hershey Marketing Academy (HMA), where they will serve as Dean. In Brand Strategy, they will help with shaping and rolling out the Brand Building Framework (BBF), Hershey's way of marketing. Both the BBF and HMA are vital tools to building a high-performance Marketing culture and shaping Hershey's future. Candidates do not need a background in learning and development nor brand strategy. However, the ideal candidate will possess a natural curiosity and willingness to learn from experts (in both L&D and Strategy) to bring best practices to Hershey. This person must also have a background in CPG marketing (at least 3-5 years), excellent written and oral communication skills, and a proven track record of developing others. Key Responsibilities: There are two primary responsibilities: Learning & Development (i.e. rebooting and running the Hershey Marketing Academy) and Brand Strategy (primarily helping to build and roll out the Brand Building Framework). Learning & Development Collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels (from VP to Brand Analyst) to build and identify and prioritize learning needs. This should be aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Create a development environment that leverages the 70-20-10 model for learning and development: -70% of learning comes from on-the-job experiences (hands-on work, real-world challenges, and day-to-day problem-solving) -20% from social interactions (collaboration, mentoring, and peer feedback) -10% from formal training (courses, reading, and classroom instruction) Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules to enhance marketing competencies. This should be done with the support of cross-functional partners, Marketing leadership, and external experts as needed. Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, and continuously improve content and delivery methods. Build and manage a learning & development budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI. Brand Strategy The Hershey Company is in the process of introducing its "Brand Building Framework." This is, simply put, the Hershey way of marketing. It is a compilation of over 30 tools and processes, most of which are new. This role will assist with: Piloting tools Reshape the tools (with learnings from the pilots, and key cross-functional partners) Wiring the tools into the organization Training the tools Assisting with rollout and maintenance of the tools Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CPG marketing Bachelor's degree Excellent written and oral communication skills Passion for continuous learning and a commitment to professional development Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
