About the position The Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT Basic) position involves responding to both emergency and non-emergency medical requests, providing high-quality care and treatment to patients. EMTs are responsible for assessing patients, delivering emergency services, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for care. This role requires collaboration with other health and public safety personnel and participation in community programs to enhance the organization's image. Responsibilities • Provide assessment of patients and determine necessary care. , • Deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. , • Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality. , • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients. , • Utilize appropriate EMT skills including communications and medical equipment handling. , • Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws. , • Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. , • Participate in community programs to enhance AMR's image. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). , • State Driver's License. , • State EMT-Basic certification. , • CPR/BLS certifications. , • Driving record in compliance with company policy. , • Pass Physical Agility Test. , • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
