Junior Data Analyst II

Job Summary: RMS is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Data Analyst to support our data team. This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in data analysis, especially within the financial or mortgage industry. In this role, you'll work closely with senior analysts, learn industry best practices, and gain hands-on experience in data processing, report preparation, project support, and root cause analysis for servicing and accounting data. Key Responsibilities: Data Processing & Analysis • Support data uploads and updates within RMS’s proprietary systems. • Assist senior analysts with basic data manipulations, including sorting, filtering, and error-checking data in Excel. • Help prepare standard reports and visualizations that support the team’s insights and analyses. • Perform routine data validation tasks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. • Conduct root cause analysis for servicing and accounting data discrepancies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues. Project & Team Support • Help track project timelines and tasks, reporting progress to senior team members. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule and meet objectives. • Provide general administrative support in preparing project documentation and presentations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Finance, Business, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply). • Strong interest in data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred. • Familiarity with data visualization tools and programming basics in Python or SQL is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
