Job Title: Community Lending Loan Originator Location: Miami and/or Broward County, Florida (Hybrid Remote) Language Requirement: Bilingual (English & Spanish) About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Community Lending Loan Originator to join our team. This role is designed for a seasoned mortgage professional with a proven ability to generate their own business and cultivate strong referral relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in affordable lending solutions, down payment assistance programs, and subsidy funding to help underserved communities achieve homeownership. Key Responsibilities: • Originate and close residential mortgage loans, focusing on community lending and affordable housing programs. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with realtors, community organizations, housing finance agencies, and other referral sources to generate business. • Provide expert guidance to borrowers on down payment assistance programs, subsidy opportunities, and affordable lending solutions. • Stay updated on local, state, and federal homeownership programs to ensure borrowers receive the best financing options. • Conduct outreach and education efforts, including homebuyer seminars, networking events, and community engagement activities. • Ensure compliance with all mortgage lending regulations, including Florida and federal guidelines. • Work independently to develop and execute a business plan that results in consistent production of at least 2 closed units per month. Qualifications: • Must currently reside in Miami and/or Broward County, Florida. • Active Florida NMLS license required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in self-generated mortgage origination (this is not a lead-provided role). • Demonstrated ability to consistently close an average of at least 2 units per month. • Strong expertise in affordable lending programs, down payment assistance, and subsidy initiatives. • Established network of realtors, financial advisors, and other referral sources. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to work independently and drive business growth without reliance on company-provided leads.
