JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Insurance and Office Administrative Assistant Job Status: Full-Time Job Summary: The Insurance and Office Administrative Assistant position will be responsible for verifying new patients and change of insurance patients benefits. The Insurance Verification Specialist will then determine all monies related to the copays, credits and Out of Pocket balances. In addition, this position will assist with the daily submission of medications from the doctor as well as assist with phones/Front Desk when needed. Responsibilities: Attend Daily Huddles on time at 7:45am Bi-Weekly 1:1 with Office Manager Attend Monday and Thursday billing department meetings Via telephone calls and if available, online portals, verify all new patients and change of insurance patient benefits. Benefit information will be entered into the patient Insurance Tab in their electronic health record chart in Valant. Then advise the Insurance Verification Specialist of findings who will then update all money information. · These tasks will be completed same day as receiving the intake. The beginning of each New Year ensuring that all new patient insurance verifications are completed New Intake Sheets and all deductibles, copays and Out of Pocket amounts are updated and given to Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure proper money allocations. Ensure all medication prescriptions and refills are submitted for the doctor. Assist with faxes, cover my meds, prior authorizations and patient copies are completed working in conjunction with the Front Desk to ensure timely completion. Apply Job!
