About the position The UM Administration Coordinator 2 plays a vital role in the administration of utilization management, providing non-clinical support to ensure the best treatment and care for members. This position involves performing moderately complex administrative tasks, computations, and supporting policies and procedures within defined parameters. The coordinator works under minimal direction, allowing for some discretion in prioritizing tasks and interpreting policies. Responsibilities • Contribute to the administration of utilization management. , • Perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. , • Provide non-clinical support for policies and procedures related to member care. , • Interpret area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. , • Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards. Requirements • 1 or more years of administrative or technical support experience. , • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows environment. , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs. , • Experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes. , • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field. , • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience. , • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization.
