Senior Product Designer, Online Ordering - Merchant Satisfaction

About the position The Senior Product Designer for Online Ordering - Merchant Satisfaction at DoorDash will lead the design of a new initiative aimed at enhancing the user experience for merchants engaging with their customers through digital ordering channels. This role involves owning the end-to-end user experience, contributing to product strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful design solutions. The position is pivotal in shaping the culture and processes of the design team while addressing complex design challenges in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Own the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy and crafting visions. , • Work on complex, ambiguous problem spaces to understand opportunities and chart a path forward. , • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to build and ship designs. , • Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities. , • Create, collaborate, and refine flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals. Requirements • 5+ years of work experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality craft at scale. , • Experience leading new initiatives and achieving success in a team environment. , • Ability to validate market fit for brand-new products as a 0-1 designer. , • Passion for driving product strategy and vision for new product areas. , • Skilled in balancing strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design. Nice-to-haves • Experience with SaaS products and online ordering systems. , • Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing. , • Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and rationale.
