Oracle DBA (REMOTE - Overnight & Weekend)
Please note that this is a 7 month contract position. NOTE: This will be an overnight and weekend position. Example of shift possibility would be Thursday / Friday 3pm 11:30pm ET and Saturday /Sunday 7am-7pm ET. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor s degree and minimum 6 years experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree. Minimum of 6 years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC Experience with LARGE multi-node RAC databases. PROVEN experience with Oracle 19c databases. Knowledge or experience with Post Gres SQL Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design MUST be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed. Job Description: Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases. Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks. Database Upgrades to include working with project managers and managing individual projects for DB upgrades. Backup & Recovery Apply patches and upgrade database versions. Install and Build database structures. Develop and maintain shell scripts. Query and performance tuning Develop and maintain documentation. Program in PL/SQL Performance tuning of databases Reviews database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls.
