CDL Driver – Dedicated Routes

Job Summary:

Our company, Swift Transportation, one of the largest and most reputable trucking companies in the US, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated CDL Driver to handle our dedicated routes. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of up to $70,000 a year, depending on experience. Job Description:

The CDL Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries. You will also need to maintain a positive and professional attitude with our customers, as you will often serve as the face of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Transport goods and raw materials over dedicated routes to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers

• Inspect the truck before and after the trip and report any defects to management

• Document and log work/rest periods and maintain record of mileage, fuel use, tolls, and cargo

• Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations

• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to coordinate work activities, exchange information, or resolve problems

• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license

• Previous experience as a truck driver (minimum 1 year)

• Ability to drive for extended periods

• A clean driving record

• Proficient in English

• High school diploma
