Position Overview Do you have a passion for healthcare construction? LRS Federal is seeking Construction Program Managers to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in planning and executing their construction program for the Western Region of the United States. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive program analysis and support of Project Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Record Keeping, Cost Estimating /Budget Control, and Change Management Documentation Management. Other requirements include performing weekly and monthly reviews and reports; change order proposal reviews and schedule development adherence; recommendations pertaining to the integrated master schedules (IMS), written and oral communications and coordination efforts as required. The intent is to expand the VA’s capabilities for contract and construction management oversight of its design and construction projects. This position is offered as a remote position; however, travel will be required two times per year to various locations on the West Coast of the United States. Candidates must work normal business hours on Pacific time. Job Description - Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Acts as a liaison and coordinates construction activities between government client, construction contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and other parties including regulatory and municipal/state agencies. • Responsible to our government client for overall management of construction programs in terms of technical quality, cost, safety, and schedule. • Reads and understands construction documents. Job Requirements: • Must possess a working knowledge of and experience with construction practices, preferably with healthcare projects/facilities. • Must be detailed oriented, punctual, and work well within a team. • Initiate tasks and execute accurately. • Ability to administer several tasks independently and concurrently. • Team player with self-confidence and professional presence. • High degree of maturity and business judgment. • Possess a positive attitude and work ethic. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience & Education/Certification: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. • 5 years of directly related healthcare construction experience. • Federal project experience required.
