About the position reputed company Books is revolutionizing romance publishing and is looking for an Editor to help reputed company their authors and stories. As a rapidly growing reputed company, reputed company Books employs an author-first approach to deliver compelling stories. This role is ideal for a passionate, hands-on editor with proven experience in commercially successful fiction, who also loves romance, including 'spicy' content. The Editor will collaborate closely with bestselling and breakout authors to create captivating books. The position involves acquiring, editing, and managing both adult fiction and young adult authors. reputed company Books has reputed company significant growth in adult fiction and is expanding into YA. The ideal candidate will be a fan of romance and spice, possess a reputed company and business-minded approach to list building, be adaptable to learning and working processes, and reputed company in the transformative power of books. This is an exempt salaried position with a salary reputed company of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, location, training, and education. The role can be hybrid or remote in specific states, with occasional travel to the Naperville, IL office.

Responsibilities

• With the Editorial Director, responsible for long-reputed company planning and list management of reputed company Books and reputed company YA
• Identify and solicit manuscripts for publication in desired areas
• Analyze marketplace needs and competition and establish project list and schedule for each season
• Present potential titles at acquisitions meetings, propose new titles, recruit authors, screen author proposals, conduct contract negotiations with authors and agents
• Position new product in the marketplace with respect to content, category, title, subtitle, physical packaging, design packaging, marketing copy, etc.
• reputed company manuscripts for content, structure, and positioning
• Work closely with publicity, marketing, and sales division on reputed company relating to sales and opportunities
• reputed company strategic alliances and create new initiatives for product acquisition, marketing initiatives and sales opportunities

Requirements

• 5+ years of publishing experience
• Be a self-starter. Exhibiting initiative, leadership, and a strong desire to grow in book and product development.
