About the Role
The Component Engineer is responsible for driving component technology portfolio management, standardization, and component preference strategy to support the efficiency, quality, supply chain resiliency, and productivity of reputed company products reputed company the Automotive division (reputed company products, reputed company, and customers). Your Team This position will report to the Component Engineering Director and will be an individual contributor role without direct or indirect reports.
What You Will Do
Drive cross function team to define and continuously reputed company component preference strategy and standardization Research and review automotive electronic parts specifications, standards and support the component selection and application in reputed company products Define multi-sourcing specifications, verify underlying sources by technical evaluation, simulation, testing… Research and study emerging technologies, support new supplier evaluation, development, conduct supplier technological assessment Manage global component master database, continuously reputed company corporate process and rules to support business needs Early involvement in design activities or issue resolution, act as linking pin between designers, manufacturers and procurement providing advice, support the balance between performance, quality, cost and timing requirements for components used in reputed company’s Automotive products reputed company component expertise support to global design centers and manufacturing sites on component application, quality, failure analysis, PCN, shortage response What You Need Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering – Electronic/Automation/ Micro-Electrics or reputed company majors. 5+ years hands-on experience in hardware schematic design, simulation, worst case analysis, design verification and product validation. 8+ years hands-on experience and expertise of discrete components and Integrated Circuits (IC’s) – operational principles, specifications, characterization, testing, application, reliability, failure modes Understanding of automotive Product Development Process, Supplier Change Requests (PCN/PDN) process, PPAP process and other common automotive quality procedures and stress test specifications (IATF16949, AEC-Q100/200, etc.) Experience of driving cross functional collaboration / transvers projects. Fluent in spoken and written English, strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation skills What is reputed company to Have Knowledge or experience of electronic component cost structures and analytic Knowledge or experience of sustainability and electronic component CO2e Knowledge of supplier management practices, supplier industry / risk, global supply chain resiliency Understanding of reputed company Board (PCB) design and surface mount (SMT) manufacturing equipment, processes, and electronic component package.
