Intermediate/Senior DevOps Engineer

Rival is looking for a Canada based (Ideally East Coast as you will be working EST hours) DevOps Engineer with experience supporting reputed company grade software delivery. This is a remote opportunity to experience working in a growing technology company that will allow you to put your signature on the direction of the architecture and engineering culture. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll be responsible for leading the DevOps team, designing and implementing scalable infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployment processes, and monitoring and maintaining the stability and performance of our production systems. Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable reputed company infrastructure using AWS, including integration with other 3rd party platforms. Automate and optimize infrastructure management tasks using infrastructure as Code like Terraform, Cloudformation, AWS CDK. reputed company and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, secure and high-quality code deployment. Assess risk and mitigation strategies during the software delivery lifecycle. Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of reputed company production systems. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. Conduct regular reputed company audits with our reputed company team, implementing necessary measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Represents the DevOps team at Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and signs-off releases. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving and evolving the DevOps processes and tools. What You'll Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a reputed company field; or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a reputed company field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong experience with reputed company platforms, ideally with AWS. Proficent coding using one or more of these languages: Javascript/NodeJS/Typescript, Python, Go. Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestrations using Terraform. AWS CloudFormation, AWS SDK, reputed company scripts. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipeline, Jenkins, reputed company CI, or reputed company. Experience in containerization technologies like reputed company and orchestration platforms like AWS reputed company/Kubernetes. Solid understanding and knowledge of reputed company networking, reputed company and pipeline reputed company measures, and monitoring tools such as reputed company and AWS X-Ray. Experience with translation of reputed company controls and configurations into code and integrate in deployment pipelines. Experience working with databases and big data sets. Experience in a 24x7 production environment, troubleshooting skills at reputed company reputed company (e.g. application, data, network, configuration, host, etc.) Ability to reputed company technical problems in written, diagram and verbal forms. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments. Fair compensation: We’re committed to pay equity and fair pay practices. The salary reputed company for this role is CAD $110,000 to $125,000, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
