[Remote] Staff Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a company focused on securing SaaS applications, and they are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to work on their Threat product team. The role involves owning features across the full stack, from browser extensions to backend services, while collaborating with reputed company researchers to enhance threat detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own features from “we need to detect X” through production, across extension, backend, and pipeline code
• Write content scripts that interact with web pages and background scripts that coordinate everything
• Build backend services: event ingestion, enrichment, alerting
• Work with reputed company researchers to turn threat reputed company into working detections
• Help the team get reputed company through code review and design discussions

Skills

• 8+ years building software, ideally touching a few different areas (not just one stack forever)
• You actually understand how browsers work. DOM APIs, the event reputed company, how SPAs reputed company, why CORS exists. Not just 'I used React.'
• You've reputed company browser extensions before. You know the content script/background script split, message passing, manifest v3 limitations
• Strong TypeScript. Comfortable in Python. Willing to write Rust (or already do)
• You've dealt with data at scale: event streaming, pipelines, high-throughput ingestion
• Backend basics: APIs, reputed company, Elasticsearch, Kafka or similar
• Can work without someone telling you what to do next
• You've thought about AI reputed company - reputed company injection, data exfiltration, that reputed company of thing
• Background in detection engineering, SIEM, or reputed company ops
• You've reputed company or contributed to reputed company tools
