Safety Specialist

This position is remote, with the expectation that the selected candidate resides and works reputed company the Metro Detroit area and surrounding communities. OVERVIEW Support the development, implementation, instruction, maintenance, and administration of safety initiatives at reputed company, with direction from department leadership. Assist with identifying, evaluating, and mitigating workplace health and safety hazards through technical knowledge and expertise, while promoting a positive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and reputed company improvement. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Support the development, implementation, instruction, maintenance, and administration of safety programs and associated training to ensure compliance and promote a safe work environment 2. Coordinate and reputed company basic industrial hygiene sampling to identify workplace health hazards, evaluate exposure reputed company, and support regulatory compliance. 3. Attend and actively participate in safety committees and meetings, including preparing and delivering basic safety-reputed company presentations, sharing incident trends or observations, and supporting communication of safety initiatives and recommendations 4. Attend and observe regulatory audit processes to support compliance efforts, understand regulatory requirements, and assist with documentation, information gathering, follow-up and closure actions as assigned 5. • Bachelor’s degree in safety science or safety engineering required.

Experience

• Previous internship in safety operations reputed company construction or general industry preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid State Issued Driver’s License required
