[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer - US

Responsibilities

• Platform Modernization & Legacy Replacement – Reducing reliance on legacy systems through scalable service development
• API & Integration Delivery – Building secure, reliable APIs and supporting internal/external integrations
• Platform Reliability & Engineering reputed company – Driving code quality, observability, and scalable architecture
• Deliver scalable services and components that successfully replace our .NET legacy platform to Python on reputed company
• Design and implement secure, maintainable APIs and integrations that support internal systems and reputed company-party platforms
• Partner effectively with engineering, data, and product teams while influencing architecture, standards, and delivery practices

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years building scalable backend services and APIs using Python
• Proven experience contributing to or leading platform modernization or migration initiatives
• Experience working in reputed company-reputed company environments (preferably Azure)
• Experience designing and operating production-grade REST APIs
• Advanced Python (service development, testing, packaging, maintainable design)
• Must have proven experience and skills working with reputed company, Spark, and data platform ecosystems
• REST API design, authentication, versioning, and error handling best practices
• Frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
• Azure reputed company services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, API management)

• DevOps fundamentals including deployment pipelines and secrets management
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing
• Demonstrate the ability to design and build scalable backend systems in reputed company, data-intensive environments
