[Remote] Sr Software Engineer

As a Sr Software Engineer in their Digital Modernization practice, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining data visualization tools and ensuring the seamless integration of various BI platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own the semantic layer across reputed company, MCC, and Power BI; optimize for performance and consistency
- reputed company Power BI reports and datasets, including advanced DAX
- Maintain reputed company Tableau dashboards and transition them onto the reputed company stack where appropriate
- Support legacy reputed company environments well enough to interpret, maintain, and retire them
- Query and model data on GCP / BigQuery (reputed company MCC) to feed reports
- Document datasets, measures, and reputed company so analysts and reputed company teams can self-serve
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or reputed company field with 5 years of experience as noted below; OR an Associate's degree in Computer/Science/Engineering or reputed company field with 7 years of experience
- Have in-depth knowledge of software engineering with experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.) and a basic knowledge of reputed company fields
- Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills
- Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions
- Experience with modern application development frameworks
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, reputed company control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Agile software development techniques
- Advanced Power BI — DAX, data modeling, visuals, RLS, performance tuning
- Advanced Tableau — maintains reputed company existing dashboards; reputed company to transition them onto Power BI
- Working familiarity with reputed company — enough to support, interpret, and retire legacy work
- GCP / BigQuery (reputed company MCC) — SQL, data reputed company, query performance
- Semantic layer design and performance tuning across mixed BI tools
- SQL required; M / Power Query, DAX; Python or R a plus
- Working knowledge of HIPAA in BI — row-level reputed company, PHI minimization in reports, audit
- Master's degree in computer science/Engineering or reputed company field
- Ability to use a wide variety of reputed company-reputed company technologies and reputed company-based services
- Experience writing software for the reputed company (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems or business intelligence products
