Solutions Architect

Job Description: The State Based Systems (SBS) division of the reputed company) has an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect. This position is responsible for designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software. This involves gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing reputed company software systems in reputed company to identify areas in need of improvement, and defining appropriate technical architecture for new development. They reputed company their expertise and architectural assistance to other technical staff including software development teams. This is a full-time remote position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency reputed company 100 miles of the Kansas City office is required. Responsibilities include: reputed company technical architecture, frameworks and strategies to meet the business and application requirements. Work with the infrastructure and development teams to ensure the successful implementation of new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions. Build relationships with reputed company development and support organizations. Simplifies and communicates reputed company technical concepts to senior leadership, product managers, and other non-technical stakeholders. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Mentor and establish relations across technical and architecture teams. reputed company technical coaching to team members on design patterns, development processes, and other technical processes to improve their technical skills. reputed company technical governance of initiatives to ensure adherence with standards. Management Responsibilities: This position does not have direct reports. Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and eight or more years reputed company work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Extensive experience with the entire software development life cycle required. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, and experience with securing applications, data, and infrastructure required. ​ Preferred Experience: AWS Certified Solutions Architecture certification preferred. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as reputed company, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines preferred. Experience with and reputed company grade low code/no code platform is preferred (preferably reputed company). Experience working with agile teams is required, working with a SAFe organization is preferred. Systems & Technology Requirements: reputed company Office Suite/365, Databases (reputed company, reputed company, and/or NoSQL preferred), reputed company (AWS preferred), and/or specific systems or applications the position will support. Travel Requirements: This position does not require overnight business travel. Employees are responsible for their personal transportation to/from the home and office, including events, meetings, and training required by the NAIC. Compensation: $145,000 - $160,000, commensurate with education and experience.
