Research & Instruction Librarian I, Business Generalist

About the position The Research & Instruction Librarian, Business Generalist develops and delivers customized instruction that integrates essential business intelligence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; designs effective and accessible learning experiences; and serves as a strategic partner in aligning instructional support with research services. Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and research support across a broad reputed company of business information resources, including economic, financial, legal, management, competitive intelligence, artificial intelligence, and marketing research tools.
• Serve as the liaison to designated academic divisions, providing curriculum support, research assistance, library instruction, collection evaluation, and special projects that advance teaching and scholarship.

• Participate in the assessment of student learning and contribute to library assessment projects.
• Learns, implements, and uses new technologies in pursuit of reputed company enhancements of library services and in support of larger Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies/Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association.
• At least 1-3 years of post MLS library experience
• Strong and dynamic classroom reputed company and presentation skills with evidence of strong interest and reputed company with learning, implementing, and teaching using reputed company and emerging information technologies.
• Knowledge of best practices of instructional design as applied to in person, online, synchronous and asynchronous instruction
