Billing Specialist (Remote - reputed company)

The Billing Specialist in this role administers billing and collection function, including both automated and reputed company billing processes. Prepares and reconciles reporting to remit premium to insurance carriers monthly. Your Impact:

• Reviews Interim reputed company Invoices auto generated by system and releases according to established guidelines.
• Audits Automated Clearing House (ACH) billing and retiree pension deductions monthly for accuracy.
• Prepares month-end reconciliation for insurance carriers and provides reputed company request to Finance unit.
• Processes unidentified cash and maximum age policy adjustments; processes premium refunds in accordance with established guidelines.
• Fulfills insurance reputed company reporting requirements, works directly with carriers to resolve payment/reporting discrepancies, and performs system and/or reputed company adjustments as directed.
• Reconciles month-end commission calculations in response to sales representative request to account for lost or dropped commissions.
• Reconciles Daily Cash Report to ensure reputed company variances have been applied and calculates policy cash surrender values and/or policy loan values in accordance with reputed company specifications.
• Identifies and responds to billing/collection inquiries as presented by insureds or insurance carriers; resolves escalated insured complaints as referred by Customer Relations Representatives or management and aids customer service phones as needed.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• High school or general education degree (GED), Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience reputed company to billing and customer service.
• Demonstrated proficiency with PC skills including but not limited to MS Outlook, reputed company, Teams, and Word.
• Prior experience working with labor unions, multiple billing cycles, insurance programs, and JMAX is a plus.
