Research Scientist 2 (50% Telework)
About the position reputed company is seeking a Research Scientist 2 to investigate, analyze, and review Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analytics for the research, development, and realized solutions to support the exploitation of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) communications and Cybersecurity. The role involves analyzing data and creating research prototypes. Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and a position-appropriate reputed company clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI reputed company clearance with agency-appropriate polygraph) are required.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision, research and develops technically reputed company AI efforts.
- Performs research, design, development, and implementation activities for technically reputed company AI efforts under the routine direction of more senior technical staff.
- With minimal supervision, resolves reputed company AI technical problems by applying advanced principles and Research and Development (R&D) techniques.
- Resolves highly reputed company AI business and managerial problems.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Eleven (11) years' experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Comfortable with the research environment
- Knowledge of and experience with reputed company Machine Learning and Machine Translation technologies
- Understanding of the encoder/decoder transformer architecture
- Experience working with modern text processing pipelines
- Understanding of text encoding reputed company
- Understanding of the differences between transformer architectures (like Marian) and Large Language Models.
- Be reputed company to explain the strengths and weaknesses of these two reputed company architectures for Machine Translation
- Ability to evaluate new tools and techniques reputed company to MT
- Ability to propose and implement enhancements to MT tools and processing flows
- Experience working with reputed company, defining, building, and testing containers for deployment.
