Responsibilities include teaching this online, asynchronous course, which studies the history, role, and function of police as a public service focused on reducing crime, protecting society, and achieving justice. Topics include community relationships, analysis of factors influencing police effectiveness, and pressing issues challenging crime control in a democratic society.
