Job Details Instructor of MS Integrated Scientific Applications - (Unsolicited) Millersville University Department: Earth Sciences Nature of Position: Temporary, part-time Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Earth Sciences is accepting applications for temporary part-time instructors to teach graduate courses in an accelerated 7 week online asynchronous format. The Earth Science Department at times needs temporary part-time Instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves. The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty. A complete application will include: Cover letter describing qualifications for the position. Current curriculum vitae or professional resume. Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress. Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in field relevant to the area of application or related discipline Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations. Successful interview. Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments in an online asynchronous environment. Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD or ABD in field relevant to area of application or related discipline. Professional experience in the business or non-profit industries. Demonstrated experience teaching in an online asynchronous environment. Prior college-level teaching experience.
