Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and detail-oriented Remote Pharmacy Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team based out of 8370 Wolf Lake Dr Ste 107, Bartlett, TN 38133. This is a fully remote, work-from-home opportunity, and candidates must reside in Tennessee and within 75 miles of the Bartlett, TN specialty location to be considered.

In this role, you will serve as a critical point of contact for patients who rely on specialty medications to manage complex and often life-altering health conditions. You will provide telephone-based support, process new patient medication orders and refills, verify insurance benefits, and collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment of every prescription. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered telephone support to individuals receiving specialty drug therapies, addressing inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and refill requests from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the workflow.
  • Verify, validate, and re-verify patient insurance benefits to confirm coverage and identify potential financial barriers.
  • Translate, transcribe, and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system with precision and attention to detail.
  • Communicate copay amounts clearly to patients, collect payments as required, and answer questions related to billing and financial responsibility.
  • Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers, advocating on behalf of patients to facilitate access to needed therapies.
  • Work collaboratively with insurance carriers, physicians, clinical staff, and internal teams to screen, identify, and resolve or appropriately escalate orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
  • Ensure that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to medication fulfillment, contributing to seamless patient experiences.
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of all patient interactions, order processing activities, and issue resolution efforts.
  • Consistently meet or exceed productivity, quality, and service level goals in a metric-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current on payer policies, pharmacy procedures, and healthcare regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to patients and partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the telephone.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience using Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of computer keyboarding experience, demonstrating strong typing skills, speed, and accuracy.
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must reside in the state of Tennessee and within 75 miles of the Bartlett, TN specialty pharmacy location.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace conducive to professional phone-based interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior healthcare work experience, particularly in a pharmacy, insurance, or medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with benefits verification, insurance processes, prescription processing, and medical terminology.
  • Experience working with pharmacy information systems or electronic health records.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 – $25.65 per hour, with the actual offer based on factors such as experience, education, and geography. In addition to competitive compensation, arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
