Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Customer Care Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every passenger interaction is positive, efficient, and memorable. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Outstanding Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of arenaflex and our commitment to hospitality.
  • Ticketing and Check-In Operations: Operate computerized point-of-sale systems to handle reservations, ticket issuance, boarding passes, and check-in procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Baggage Handling: Manage the check-in of luggage and cargo, ensuring proper tagging, weighing, and routing of all items in compliance with arenaflex standards.
  • Payment Processing: Accurately handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment. Process transactions, make change, and balance daily financial records with precision.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer concerns related to oversold flights, delays, cancellations, lost or damaged baggage, and other travel-related issues quickly and within established company guidelines.
  • Information Provision: Provide current and accurate information regarding fares, flight schedules, reservations, and arrival/departure times. Answer general inquiries from customers and visitors at the airport.
  • Communication Management: Answer phone calls, page customers, resolve complaints, and provide assistance as needed. Communicate information clearly via radio equipment, public address systems, and in-person interactions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all required forms and reports, including anomaly and complaint reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Boarding Coordination: Handle transactions necessary to board aircraft in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring smooth operations and on-time departures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure the overall success of arenaflex, supporting a spirit of teamwork and shared accomplishment.
  • Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, with responsibilities potentially varying based on station size and organizational structure.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or currently authorized to work in the United States. No current or future work authorization sponsorship is available for this position.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet job demands. Comfort with computerized retail point-of-sale systems is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively via phone, in person, and over public address systems.
  • Customer Service Acumen: A genuine passion for helping others and a demonstrated ability to remain patient, friendly, and solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds occasionally and repetitively lift or move loads of 40 to 50 pounds onto raised surfaces. Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, and stand regularly and for extended periods.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements. May be required to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights.
  • Training: Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with an 80% or higher average during the assessment period.
  • Shift Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work assigned shifts, which may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be open to overtime and shift work as needed.
  • Appearance Standards: Must maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with arenaflex appearance standards, including the ability to wear prescribed uniforms.
  • Attendance: Must comply with arenaflex attendance standards as outlined in established guidelines.

Work Schedule and Training

This is a part-time opportunity at arenaflex. Part-time employees typically work 32 hours over 5 days, with schedules determined through a status-based bidding process. New hires will complete approximately 4.5 months of training, consisting of 8-hour days of classroom and/or on-the-job training, 5 days per week. After training, part-time new hires will work 6.5-hour shifts over 5 days, with the potential for required overtime.
