SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a Neuroanalyst to join our EEG Diagnostic Lab. This part-time (0.5 FTE) will work 4 hour shifts in the evening from 7pm to 11pm. The training will be in person then the position can work fully remote. Purpose of this position: This role supports patient care by monitoring multiple EEG recordings for anomalies or seizure activity. The individual documents findings in the electronic medical record (EMR) and promptly alerts attending physicians, serving as a vital link between real-time data and clinical response. As part of the EEG and Neurology teams at Hennepin Healthcare, this position plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate neurological care. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and interpret continuous EEG recordings to identify ictal, interictal, and paroxysmal events Analyze seizure onset, propagation, and termination, correlating EEG findings with clinical and video data Differentiate epileptic from non-epileptic events, including psychogenic non-epileptic seizures and syncope Document findings in the electronic medical record with detailed annotations and clinical correlations Notify attending physicians or on-call neurology team members (residents) in real time when seizure activity or anomalies are detected Recognize and document physiological and non-physiological artifacts Apply knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and EEG correlates for neurological and psychiatric disorders Demonstrate expertise in adult, neonatal, and pediatric EEG interpretation including age-specific patterns and epilepsy syndromes Perform sleep EEG analysis to distinguish parasomnias from nocturnal seizures. 10. Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare staff as a physician extender Maintain professional development through continuing education, EEG review sessions, and literature study Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: R. EEG T. certification in EEG and CLTM in Long-Term Monitoring Minimum of 5 of years of experience in Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) in the ambulatory setting, EMU, or critical care post-certification in LTM -OR- An approved equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications: NA-CLTM (Neuroanalyst) credential Associate degree or higher, or a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Must obtain a minimum of 30 credits every 5 years, with the requirement superseded by individual credentialing bodies' continuing education requirements.
