The Opportunity We are looking for a Seasonal Localization Quality Associate - LQA to support CQ fluency’s linguistic quality assurance activities across localization projects and accounts. This is an entry-level role within the linguistic quality career track, focused on hands-on execution and coordination of quality activities, support for linguists and Project Managers, and consistent application of client quality requirements. You will work closely with Project Managers, linguists, and quality team members to ensure quality standards are executed accurately and efficiently across day-to-day operations. This is a seasonal position with a contract duration of 4+ months and requires availability to work in alignment with a 9 am to 5 pm US EST schedule. Your Impact Linguistic Quality Assurance Coordination and Execution Support and coordinate the execution of Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) activities across assigned accounts and projects, with guidance from senior team members Apply and consistently uphold CQ fluency’s linguistic quality standards across all supported clients Ensure strict adherence to client-specific localization guidelines, instructions, and quality requirements Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of LQA tasks Contribute to project planning and support the resolution of linguistic quality issues throughout the project lifecycle Monitor project progress, proactively identifying, documenting, and escalating linguistic issues, inconsistencies, and potential quality risks to Quality Managers Ensure that quality-related updates and stakeholder feedback are accurately implemented across account assets and reference materials Organize and actively participate in linguistic and project-related meetings as required Linguistic Assets Management Support terminology management activities, including creation, population, validation, maintenance, and ongoing updates Ensure the consistent application of approved terminology, style guides, and linguistic preferences across all projects by relevant stakeholders Perform translation memory (TM) management tasks, including alignment, updates, cleanup, and optimization to maintain asset quality Coordinate with MT teams the execution of TM cleanup and optimization activities to support engine training and performance improvement Manage and track linguistic queries from multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and proper documentation Customer Feedback Processing Coordinate and execute third-party linguistic reviews and LQA exchanges under defined methodologies Coordinate review scope, materials, and timelines with internal teams and external reviewers Compile, analyze, and report findings from third-party reviews and linguistic assessments Support follow-up actions and corrective steps based on review outcomes Resource Support Support resource testing and linguist evaluation activities under guidance Assist with linguist onboarding and training on quality standards, tools, and client requirements Gather and consolidate feedback from translators, localizers, and proofreaders Provide structured linguistic feedback to linguists and localization partners Administrative and Operational Support Perform quality-related administrative tasks, including PO creation and submission Support memoQ project setup and basic configuration Ensure operational workflows follow established quality standards and guidelines Process and Documentation Support Contribute to the definition and refinement of linguistic workflows and quality processes Support documentation and maintenance of linguistic guidelines, workflows, and quality procedures Qualifications for Success Minimum 2 years of experience in the translation or localization industry, including use of translation tools Familiarity with CAT tools Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks across projects and accounts High attention to detail and a structured, quality-focused mindset Openness to feedback and commitment to continuous learning Positive, collaborative attitude and strong team-player mindset Tech-savvy, able to work efficiently in fast-paced environments Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Adobe software products Commitment to professional customer service and quality delivery Fluency in English; additional language(s) preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution Our People.
