As a Research Associate, you’ll play a critical role behind the scenes—connecting members, nurses, and advocates with the healthcare resources they need most. What You’ll Do: Your Roadmap to Impact As a Research Associate, you’ll support healthcare navigation through high-quality research, organization, and follow-through. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Researching and understanding healthcare system websites, databases, and reference materials in accordance with departmental and corporate policies Researching and documenting requested information such as primary care physicians, dentists, specialists, eldercare services, nursing homes, and related resources Identifying appropriate benefit plans and benefit offerings when applicable Providing accurate, easy-to-understand research findings to nurses, advocates, and internal partners Responding to member requests by delivering clear, specific resources and available options Entering and maintaining accurate documentation within internal systems Compiling research results in a user-friendly format to support member decision-making Tracking cases and conducting timely follow-ups with members and providers Ensuring all work complies with quality standards, internal procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and COBRA Monitoring recurring research issues or trends and escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate Who You Are: The Advocate We’re Looking For You’re someone who enjoys digging into details, organizing information, and helping others through accuracy and follow-through. You bring: A high school diploma or GED required; associate degree in business, liberal arts, healthcare management, or a related field preferred At least one year of healthcare-related experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand and clarify requests Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution abilities Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to quality Solid organizational and multitasking skills, including consistent follow-up Comfort using MS Word, Excel, and web-based research tools The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) may be required based on assignment Why Health Advocate?
