[Remote] Software Engineer – Agentic AI | $38.4/hr Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer for a short-term contractor assignment focused on Agentic AI. The role involves building and enhancing tools for AI-powered workflows, expanding testing coverage, and collaborating with teams to support AI research.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance MCP tools for proprietary and open-source environments
- Develop AI-powered developer workflows and Data Cloud capabilities
- Expand testing coverage for AI coding assistants such as Gemini CLI and Claude Code
- Refactor, maintain, and improve existing codebases and testing frameworks
- Convert technical blogs into production-ready sample code and documentation
- Develop real-world data applications to support AI research and experimentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate Agentic AI adoption
Skills
- Strong professional experience in Software Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go (both preferred)
- Strong SQL proficiency
- Experience working in Google engineering environments (Google3)
- Prior experience working at Google is mandatory
- Experience building or contributing to Agentic AI systems
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Gemini CLI
- Strong coding, testing, debugging, and technical writing skills
- Experience contributing to open-source projects on GitHub
- Advanced SQL expertise
- Experience building AI-powered developer tools and cloud platforms
