[Remote] Revenue Operations Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sycomp is a global IT services and logistics provider, delivering complex technology solutions to enterprise customers worldwide. The Revenue Operations Manager will act as a strategic partner to the Head of Revenue, focusing on driving operational excellence and improving efficiency across the Order-to-Cash cycle through process optimization and project management.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement across Billing and O2B processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and ensure scalability. Accountability: Within the first 3 months, identify 3 key process improvement initiatives across the order-to-bill cycle. This includes proactively understanding current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and outline the requirements for the ideal design and implementation of process improvements across the revenue cycle. Lead initiatives that result in measurable efficiency gains (e.g., reduced O2C timelines, improved billing accuracy). Ensure processes are standardized, documented, and aligned with audit and compliance requirements
- Ensure alignment between billing operations and revenue recognition principles, maintaining consistency with accounting policies and compliance standards. This includes supporting proper timing of invoicing, handling exceptions such as pre-invoicing scenarios, and reinforcing best practices across the Order-to-Cash cycle to enhance accuracy, audit readiness, and financial integrity. Accountability: Within the first 6 months, develop a detailed understanding and flowchart of the standard operating procedure impact to financial reporting and monthly accounting. Partner with the global GL accounting team and the regional accounting teams to ensure that billing processes are fully aligned with revenue recognition guidelines of US GAAP and IFRS, as well as internal controls. Proactively identify risks or gaps, and partnering with Accounting and Finance teams to maintain compliance, minimize audit exposure, and uphold the integrity of financial reporting
- Lead the transformation of billing and revenue operations through the strategic use of technology, eliminating manual, non-value-added activities and enabling a scalable, efficient operating model. Identify automation opportunities across the Order-to-Cash cycle and drive the implementation of system enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and process visibility. Accountability: Identify automation opportunities and partner with technical teams to implement system enhancements (ERP, CRM, reporting tools, etc.). Accountable for reducing manual interventions, improving data integrity, and ensuring that tools and systems support business growth. Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to translate operational needs into scalable solutions
- Lead and deliver high-impact revenue and billing initiatives with a strong PMO mindset. Accountability: Manage end-to-end execution of strategic projects, including scope definition, planning, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and delivery. Ensure projects are completed on time and aligned with business priorities. Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to drive data-driven decisions and continuous improvement. Accountability: Define, track, and continuously improve KPIs such as O2C cycle time, billing accuracy, backlog (unbilled/incomplete), and DSO. Own the development of dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights to leadership. Ensure data accuracy and translate performance metrics into clear recommendations and actions
- Support team effectiveness, prioritization, and performance in a fast-paced environment. Accountability: Partner with team leads to ensure proper workload distribution, prioritization, and follow-ups. Support performance tracking and contribute to defining team structure as the function evolves. While not purely a people management role, this position is accountable for driving team alignment, ownership, and execution discipline
- The Revenue Operations Manager will understand and be conversant in the company's mission, vision, and values. Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 5–8+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Billing, Finance Operations, or accounting
- Strong hands-on experience across the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle, including billing, invoicing
- Proven track record leading process improvement and transformation initiatives (e.g., reducing cycle times, improving accuracy, scaling operations)
- Experience managing cross-functional projects end-to-end with multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to automation and systems implementation (ERP enhancements, reporting tools, workflow optimization)
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and data/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel advanced)
- Experience supporting leadership or executive-level stakeholders
- Background in global or shared services environments (GBS) is a strong plus
- Experience in audit, compliance, or process governance environments is a plus
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
