[Remote] SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT- [Clinician/ UX]
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Envision is a leading national medical group focused on delivering high-quality care to patients. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and delivering technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization, working closely with the Digital Product organization to translate business requirements into sustainable technical architectures.
Responsibilities
- Designs and documents complex end-to-end solutions that align with enterprise architecture and meet business capability needs across systems and platforms
- Develops architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and high-quality technical documentation to support solution implementation
- Conduct in-depth impact analyses and risk assessments for proposed solutions, identifying and recommending mitigation strategies for complex technical and business issues
- Ensures architectural solutions adhere to infrastructure, security, performance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA), partnering closely with compliance, security, and platform domain experts
- Leads solution architecture reviews through the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process, ensuring governance and alignment with enterprise technology strategy
- Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions based on business and technical fit, contributing to long-term strategic planning
- Collaborates with Digital Product teams and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into architecture roadmaps, guiding the development of actionable user stories
- Provides architecture leadership and guidance to delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring architectural integrity and implementation success
- Leads or contributes to the development of RFIs, RFPs, and Statements of Work (SOWs) in coordination with Vendor Management and Procurement
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level architects and technical team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, patterns, and standards
- Contributes to strategic enterprise initiatives such as cloud migration, digital transformation, and data modernization
- Stays current with healthcare technology trends, interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and regulatory requirements
Skills
- Experience with Enterprise scale solutions including integration of multiple systems to achieve functional goals
- Understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, HL7, FHIR)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Technical depth across application, data, and infrastructure domains
- Ability to balance innovation with operational stability
- Experience with vendor evaluation and integration
- Ability to lead with influence in the absence of direct organizational power
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Excellent documentation and oral/written communication skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT, including at least 2 years in solution architecture roles required
- Experience in healthcare IT systems, including RCM systems, EHRs, patient portals, and clinical workflows
- Preferably has past experience working with clinicians
- Preferably has past experience with designing end to end user experiences
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Certificates and Licenses (if applicable)
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, or healthcare IT certifications are a plus
