[Remote] Radiology IT Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search is working with Carolina Radiology Associates to find a Radiology Project Manager. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing multi-site projects across various radiology practices, working closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and programs across various stages of the project lifecycle
- Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain master schedules for assigned projects and programs
- Ensure projects remain aligned with strategic objectives, scope, budget, and timelines
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks, barriers, and issues requiring leadership intervention
- Lead quality assurance reviews of project deliverables and implementation outcomes
- Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for assigned projects and programs
- Communicate project status, outcomes, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration among operational, clinical, technical, and executive teams
- Lead and participate in project governance, steering committee, and status meetings as directed by the CIO
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support successful project execution and organizational alignment
- Drive implementation excellence through effective planning, execution, and post-implementation evaluation
- Identify root causes of project delays or performance gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to develop corrective action plans
- Communicate project objectives, priorities, and strategic alignment to project teams
- Apply project management best practices, methodologies, and tools to improve project outcomes
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews and promote continuous improvement across the organization
- Monitor project scope and ensure appropriate escalation, documentation, and resolution of scope changes
- Establish and monitor project critical success factors, key performance indicators (KPIs), and measurable outcomes
- Hold stakeholders accountable for project commitments and deliverables
- Support change management efforts associated with technology and operational initiatives
- Promote a collaborative culture focused on quality, efficiency, and organizational value
Skills
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) or more years of progressive project management experience)
- Master's degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience managing Healthcare IT, medical imaging, radiology, or healthcare technology projects
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and related project management tools
- Experience with organizational change management initiatives
- Vendor management and technology implementation experience
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing revenue-generating projects or strategic growth initiatives
- Experience in healthcare operations, radiology workflow, PACS, RIS, imaging informatics, or related clinical technologies
