[Remote] Business Development Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Yorktown Search Partners, a division of American Funding Partners, is a North American business funding brokerage. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to prospect and develop relationships with small and mid-sized business owners, qualify them for working capital solutions, and drive funded deals from initial contact through to close.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting via LinkedIn and other channels to identify and engage small and mid-sized business owners across North America
- Qualify prospects for working capital products including merchant cash advances, revenue-based financing, equipment loans, and business lines of credit
- Build and maintain a self-managed pipeline using CRM tools
- Follow up consistently with prospects and move conversations from initial contact to funded deal
- Represent Yorktown Search Partners and American Funding Partners with professionalism and integrity at all times
- Meet or exceed monthly activity and funded deal targets
Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, financial services, commercial lending, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to prospect independently and build relationships from scratch - no leads will be provided
- Comfort operating on a pure commission basis with no base salary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - you will be conducting outreach primarily via LinkedIn and email using your own personal profiles and accounts
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset and tolerance for the uncertainty that comes with building something from the ground up
- Undergraduate degree required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada
