Talisman is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to support their Accounting and Finance teams with reporting, database optimization, and process automation initiatives. The role requires expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, along with Python scripting skills for workflow automation and data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to gather reporting and data requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and data extracts
  • Administer and optimize MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
  • Design and implement database improvements, migrations, and schema enhancements
  • Automate manual processes and data workflows using Python
  • Troubleshoot data issues and ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve data-driven decision making

Skills

  • Strong database administration experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and automation
  • Experience supporting Accounting, Finance, or ERP-related function
  • Strong SQL development and reporting experience
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable database solution
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
