[Remote] Director of Sales, Biopharma
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JoVE is the world-leading producer and provider of science video solutions with a mission to improve scientific research and education. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead their biopharma vertical, owning revenue performance and developing a team of Account Executives to drive strategic growth across biopharma accounts.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive revenue performance for the biopharma vertical, consistently meeting and exceeding growth targets
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of Account Executives, promoting a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand adoption of JoVE's research video library across pharmaceutical and biotech organizations
- Monitor pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and deal progression, ensuring disciplined execution of complex, multi-stakeholder (biopharma librarians, R&D leadership) sales cycles
- Define and track KPIs to measure team performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective strategies
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and buyer motivations to refine go-to-market strategies and accelerate revenue growth
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to align messaging, and drive renewals and expansion
Skills
- A Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including 5+ years leading sales teams within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare sectors
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth in high growth sales environments
- Strong experience managing long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying processes
- Data-driven, strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence
- Self-driven, results driven and thrives in a fast paced environment
