Position Overview – Remote Specialty Pharmacy Customer Service Representative
arenaflex is seeking enthusiastic, detail‑oriented individuals to join our Remote Specialty Pharmacy Customer Service Team based in Florida. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients, insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and internal pharmacy teams. You will help patients navigate the complexities of specialty drug therapy, ensuring that each prescription is processed accurately, timely, and with the compassion our brand promises.
This is a work‑from‑home opportunity, but candidates must reside within 75 miles of the arenaflex Specialty pharmacy location at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, empathetic telephone support to patients receiving life‑sustaining specialty medications.
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verification and reverification of benefits.
- Enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system with precision and speed.
- Communicate copay amounts, collect payments, and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
- Obtain prior authorizations, work closely with insurance carriers, and resolve benefit‑related issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, internal clinical teams, and external partners to identify and resolve clinical or accounts‑receivable concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions in compliance with regulatory and privacy standards.
- Escalate complex cases to senior specialists while ensuring patients receive timely updates.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on specialty drug therapies, insurance policies, and arenaflex’s evolving processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, handling complex inquiries over the phone.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
- Demonstrated computer keyboarding skills with a typing speed of at least 45 WPM and high accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on active listening and clear articulation.
