Power BI Developer - US Based Remote

Anywhere Real Estate is seeking a Power BI developer to join our growing BI Reporting & Analytics team; the team is highly collaborative and is responsible for driving insights from data and presenting ideas effectively. Working with the BI Report Development Manager, this role is tasked with building, enhancing, and supporting Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and data... flows! Job Responsibilities Engaging in all phases of our Agile BI development lifecycle: requirement analysis, prototyping, designing, developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop and modern UI/UX practices Understand business requirements and develop data models accordingly by connecting to a variety of data sources; build tabular and multidimensional models compatible with standards Implement row level security on data and manage application security layer models. Required Skills Power BI proficiency: Three (3) years of dedicated development experience with Power BI. Adept at creating reports & dashboards, data exploration, and building datasets & dataflows. Data visualization: Solid grasp of data visualization principles and best practices to present data in an easily understandable manner. Education: Bachelor s degree in analytics, information systems, business, or equivalent work experience SQL and DAX: Knowledge of SQL for database querying from commonly used DBMS, such as SQL Server or Snowflake Familiarity with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Query for data modeling and calculation measures Data modeling: Understand data modeling concepts and standard methodologies to be able to build effective data models to support reporting needs. ETL processes: Working knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean and transform data before it can be used. Workflow: Accuracy in estimating timelines and delivery of work ability to call out dependencies, risks, and assumptions as per the asks/possible solutions Problem-solving skills: Adept at finding innovative solutions to complex data-related problem. Communication skills: Proven ability to explain complex data in a simple way to non-technical business team members, so strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Collaboration: Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team, collaborating effectively within and cross teams. Continual learning: History of staying updated with the latest trends and developments with data analysis and visualization as the field constantly evolves. Attention to detail: Given the importance of data accuracy, Power BI developers need to have good attention to detail. Excel skills: Advanced functions, charting, filtering, macros, and linking to external data sources; VBA experience is a plus to handle deploying legacy reports into Power BI Employment Type Full-time Company Anywhere Real Estate Inc
