Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Pharmacy Data Entry & Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will play an essential role in supporting patient care, pharmacy operations, and healthcare provider collaboration. Working under direct supervision, you will process critical information while following strict state and federal guidelines. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Patient Enrollment & Data Management: Using established arenaflex data entry methodologies and protocols, you will process new patient enrollments by accurately entering demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the appropriate systems.
- Prescription Processing: Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines, entering refill orders for timely processing. You will investigate to obtain any missing prescription details and interpret clinical abbreviations, including SIG codes, to ensure accuracy.
- Resolving Data Exceptions: Settle all data entry-related exceptions by identifying discrepancies, making corrections, and resubmitting records for processing in accordance with individual plan requirements.
- Multi-Channel Patient Communication: Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients via phone calls, live chats, and emails. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to resolve questions, gather missing information, or clarify orders.
- Third-Party Resolution: Resolve Third Party Exceptions by reviewing, collecting, correcting, and resubmitting claims. Make outbound phone calls to insurance guarantors and other stakeholders to obtain missing information, secure override approvals, and resolve billing or coverage issues.
- Pharmacist Support: Provide reliable assistance to pharmacists, both those working in-office and those located at remote arenaflex facilities. Identify and escalate operational issues, workflow concerns, or unusual cases to senior-level staff as appropriate.
- Compliance & Licensing: Must obtain an active professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment, and maintain an active professional license or certification throughout the duration of employment.
- Policy Adherence: Follow standard operating procedures and perform all duties in accordance with arenaflex policies, methodologies, and quality standards.
Essential Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic Computer Skills: Demonstrated ability to start up and shut down a computer, use a mouse to point and click, open and close programs, switch between applications, save files, print reports, and access information online.
- Internet Navigation: Basic web search engine skills, including the ability to open a browser, type URLs in the correct location, use a search engine, bookmark websites, navigate back/forward/stop buttons, and complete online forms.
- Typing Skills: Intermediate level keyboarding ability, with a minimum of 25 WPM (words per minute), including the ability to type by memory and arrange documents.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain an active professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications

- Pharmacy Technician Experience: At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.

- Customer Service Excellence: Prior experience providing customer service to both internal and external clients, with a proven ability to meet quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction.
- Advanced Typing Skills: Intermediate to advanced keyboarding ability of at least 35 WPM, including typing by memory and formatting documents.
- Bilingual Ability: Fluency in both Spanish and English is highly preferred.
