Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Reconciliation: Perform daily data entry, transaction posting, and account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Payment Processing Coordination: Liaise with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other financial institutions to facilitate ACH, wire, and other electronic payment transfers.
  • Fraud Resolution & Member Support: Assist internal departments with fraud investigations, respond to member inquiries, and maintain compliance with industry‑wide fraud‑prevention standards.
  • Case Management: Manage and resolve member cases, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes while adhering to internal service level agreements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow and enforce NACHA rules, Federal banking regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act to guarantee that all transactions meet legal requirements.
  • Loan & Deposit Processing: Process mortgage payments, multi‑account deposits, credit card statements, and a variety of loan types including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff examinations.
  • Remote Deposit Capture Review: Review, verify, and approve remote deposit, mobile, ATM, and other image‑enabled transactions.
  • General Ledger Adjustments: Log, analyze, and post significant GL entries, account adjustments, and reversals as needed.
  • Stop Pay & Check Batching: Execute stop‑pay requests and manage check‑batch processing with precision.
  • End‑of‑Day Balancing: Complete daily balancing activities and department close‑out procedures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Transfer Request Management: Gather required information from members for timely and accurate processing of domestic and international fund transfers.
  • Research & Verification: Investigate and confirm inbound and outbound transfer details, communicating with members to resolve discrepancies.
  • Security & Confidentiality: Safeguard all account information and ensure strict adherence to privacy and security policies.
  • Overdue Collections: Process overdue returns, receipt issuance, foreign collections, and related legal fees.
  • Cross‑Training & Team Collaboration: Participate in cross‑training initiatives, support teammates, and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word (intermediate level).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering clear, courteous, and professional service.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations and data analysis.
  • Capacity to work extended hours when business needs dictate, while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining impeccable attendance and overall performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer or member service, preferably within a banking or credit‑union environment.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms such as Episys or Symitar, and experience processing electronic wires.
  • Experience handling ACH, wire transfers, and other electronic payment methods.
  • Knowledge of NACHA regulations, Federal Reserve procedures, and other relevant financial compliance frameworks.
  • Prior exposure to remote deposit capture, mobile banking, or ATM transaction processing.
