[Remote] Legal Talent Consultant (Temporary Staffing)

The Legal Talent Consultant will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing legal professionals for temporary and contract assignments, while building relationships with clients and candidates to meet urgent staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Source, recruit, interview, and qualify legal professionals for temporary and contract assignment
  • Build relationships with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, compliance professionals, contracts specialists, legal operations professionals, and other legal talent
  • Maintain an active pipeline of candidates ready to support client needs on short notice
  • Conduct video interviews and evaluate candidates for both technical qualifications and cultural fit
  • Stay connected with talent communities and continuously develop candidate networks across key legal specialties and geographic markets
  • Partner closely with sales and client-facing teams to understand staffing needs, hiring priorities, and client expectations
  • Develop recruiting strategies for each open position
  • Present qualified candidates quickly while maintaining quality standards
  • Manage the recruiting process from initial candidate outreach through onboarding and assignment start
  • Drive urgency and accountability throughout the hiring process to ensure timely results
  • Proactively identify staffing opportunities within existing client relationships and prospective accounts
  • Partner with sales and recruiting colleagues to expand client engagements and uncover new hiring needs
  • Conduct outreach to hiring managers, legal administrators, HR leaders, and legal department decision-makers to introduce talent solutions and discuss workforce challenges
  • Skill market highly qualified candidates to clients and prospects to generate interviews and job orders
  • Build credibility through consistent communication, market intelligence, and consultative conversations
  • Leverage every interaction as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and create future business
  • Coach candidates throughout the interview process
  • Provide timely communication, feedback, and guidance
  • Prepare candidates for client interviews and assignment expectations
  • Act as a trusted career resource and advisor for legal professionals
  • Maintain strong relationships with consultants throughout their assignments and identify future placement opportunities
  • Work closely with teammates to fill jobs quickly and effectively
  • Share market intelligence, candidate leads, and recruiting strategies
  • Contribute to a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and results
  • Support team initiatives designed to drive placements, client engagement, and revenue growth

Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, legal services, business development, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working toward performance goals, activity metrics, and recruiting KPIs
  • Proficiency with recruiting technologies, ATS platforms, and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Legal staffing or legal recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting attorneys, paralegals, legal support professionals, compliance talent, or legal operations professionals
  • Knowledge of law firm and corporate legal department environments
  • Experience recruiting for temporary, contract, or contract-to-hire opportunities
  • Paralegal certification, legal studies background, or J.D. preferred but not required
