Cherry Bekaert is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed healthcare services organization seeking a hands-on Interim Controller due to a resignation. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting private equity reporting requirements, partnering closely with the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage day-to-day accounting operations in a highly hands-on capacity
- Lead the month-end close process, including preparation of financial statements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee journal entries
- Support private equity reporting requirements on a monthly basis using established templates
- Identify and execute accounting clean-up activities where necessary
- Oversee revenue recognition processes, including healthcare-specific considerations (gross to net calculations)
- Partner with third-party vendors overseeing billing and collections functions
- Manage payroll-related journal entries

- Hands-on accounting experience
- Experience in provider or physician services environments
- Ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Experience leading the month-end close process
