[Remote] Software Development Engineer, iOS

Zillow is a leading real estate platform in the U.S. that focuses on enhancing customer experiences in buying, selling, financing, and renting properties. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer, iOS to contribute to the design system and reusable components for Zillow's iOS experience, collaborating with design, product, and engineering teams to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve reusable iOS components, patterns, and tooling that support Zillow’s design system and product experiences
• Contribute to the implementation and architecture of design system features, writing high-quality Swift with strong testing practices
• Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully, applying sound judgment about when to rely on generated output and when to validate it independently
• Help define and uphold iOS standards, including accessibility best practices
• Support testing strategies, code quality improvements, and regular releases to partner teams
• Diagnose and resolve integration issues for teams adopting Constellation and other shared system capabilities
• Create documentation and educational content that help partner teams adopt the design system more effectively
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering partners to stay aligned on roadmap priorities and improve the developer and designer experience

Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with strong familiarity with iOS platform conventions and Human Interface Guidelines
• Strong understanding of application performance, including concurrency, memory efficiency, and smooth scrolling
• A track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code within deadlines
• Experience with build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools effectively, with good judgment about when generated output should be reviewed, tested, or revised
• Experience building accessible iOS experiences
