At arenaflex, we connect talented, customer-focused professionals with one of America's most recognized online travel agencies, creating a meaningful remote work opportunity that fits your life.

As a Remote Customer Experience Specialist – Travel Reservations & Support, you become the voice of an industry-leading travel brand. Every call you take is an opportunity to make someone's day smoother, their journey easier, and their trust in arenaflex stronger. If you love travel, thrive in fast-paced environments, and genuinely enjoy helping people, this role offers the rare combination of purpose, flexibility, and professional growth — all without ever leaving home.

About arenaflex and the Role You'll Play

arenaflex partners with top-tier brands across the travel and hospitality industry to deliver exceptional customer experiences. We believe that great service starts with great people, which is why we've built a remote-first environment that empowers our team members to do their best work from wherever they are most comfortable. Our mission is to provide flexible, rewarding careers for customer service professionals while delivering unparalleled support to travelers across the United States and beyond.

When you join arenaflex as a Remote Customer Experience Specialist, you step into a pivotal role within the travel ecosystem. You'll be handling inbound calls from customers who rely on a major online travel agency for hotel bookings, rental car reservations, and flight arrangements. Your job isn't just to answer questions — it's to be a trusted problem-solver who turns potentially stressful travel disruptions into smooth resolutions.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your workday begins with logging into your self-scheduling platform and connecting with your home office setup. Calls come in throughout your selected shift, ranging from straightforward itinerary confirmations to complex multi-leg reservation changes. Between calls, you'll document customer interactions, follow up on travel partner communications, and review customer histories to provide personalized support. No two calls are exactly alike, and that's part of what makes this role dynamic and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, you'll take ownership of a wide range of customer interactions, including but not limited to:

  • Answering Incoming Customer Calls: Serving as the first point of contact for travelers calling with questions, concerns, and requests related to their bookings.
  • Reviewing Customer History: Accessing and analyzing previous interactions, reservation details, and account information to provide informed, personalized assistance.
  • Modifying Travel Plans: Helping customers adjust hotel reservations, change flight itineraries, modify rental car bookings, and navigate cancellations or rebookings.
  • Confirming and Providing Itineraries: Verifying reservation details, sending confirmations, and ensuring customers have accurate documentation for their upcoming trips.
  • Processing Refunds: Evaluating refund eligibility, calculating appropriate amounts, and processing customer refunds in accordance with policy.
  • Resolving Travel Issues: Addressing unexpected disruptions, misplaced reservations, billing discrepancies, and other challenges that can arise during travel planning.
  • Communicating with Travel Partners: Placing outbound calls to hotels, rental car agencies, airlines, and other travel suppliers as needed to advocate on behalf of customers.
  • Documenting Interactions: Accurately recording customer information, conversation summaries, and resolution outcomes in internal systems.
  • Following Policy and Procedure Guidelines: Adhering to arenaflex's quality standards and client-specific protocols while exercising judgment within established frameworks.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should bring the following to the table:

  • Prior Customer Service Experience: A minimum of one year of customer-facing experience in a professional setting, whether in retail, hospitality, call center, or related fields.
  • Strong Geographical Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. states, major cities, popular destinations, and travel routes is essential for assisting customers efficiently.
  • Travel Industry Background (Preferred): Experience working in the travel sector or extensive personal experience using travel booking platforms is highly valued but not required.
  • Self-Directed Work Ethic: The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and stay productive in a remote environment without direct supervision.
  • Comfort with Technology: High proficiency in navigating multiple software applications simultaneously, including web browsers, internal tools, and communication platforms.

Personal Characteristics for Success

At arenaflex, we've learned that the most successful Remote Customer Experience Specialists share certain core qualities. If you see yourself in the following characteristics, you'll likely flourish in this position:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: You convey information clearly, listen actively, and adapt your tone to match each customer's needs.
  • Empathy and Patience: Travel disruptions are stressful. You demonstrate genuine understanding and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Reservation names, dates, confirmation numbers, and policy details matter. You catch the small things that make a big difference.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy untangling complex issues and finding creative solutions that satisfy both the customer and policy requirements.
  • Openness to Feedback: You welcome coaching and use constructive input to continuously improve your performance.
  • Organizational Agility: You can prioritize multiple tasks, anticipate customer needs, and follow through on commitments without losing track of details.
  • Resilience in a Fast-Paced Environment: You thrive when things move quickly, adapt easily to change, and maintain quality even during peak call volumes.
  • Strong Typing Skills: You can document calls accurately and efficiently without sacrificing the quality of your customer interaction.
  • Team-Oriented Attitude: Even while working remotely, you collaborate with colleagues, share insights, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Technical Requirements — Your Home Office Setup

Working from home as a Remote Customer Experience Specialist requires a reliable, dedicated workspace with the following minimum specifications:

  • Internet Connection: High-speed, hardwired internet (cable or fiber). Wi-Fi and satellite connections are not supported due to reliability requirements.
  • Operating System: Windows 10 or higher
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 (1.5 GHz or faster), or equivalent AMD processor
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM minimum
  • Hard Drive: 256 GB of available storage
  • Browsers: Internet Explorer 11 and the latest version of Google Chrome
  • Monitors: Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • Audio Equipment: Sound card (standard on most computers) and a USB noise-canceling headset
  • Security: Up-to-date anti-virus software installed and active

Scheduling Flexibility — Work When It Works for You

One of the most valued aspects of this role is the flexibility it offers. arenaflex understands that life doesn't fit neatly into a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, which is why we provide a self-scheduling platform that puts you in control.

  • Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM Eastern Time, seven days per week
  • Self-Scheduling Platform: Choose the shifts that align with your personal commitments, family responsibilities, and lifestyle preferences
  • Work-Life Balance: Schedule around school pickups, appointments, hobbies, or simply when you're at your most productive
  • Weekend and Holiday Availability: Opportunities to work during peak travel seasons and holidays when customer demand is highest

Whether you're an early riser who prefers morning shifts, a night owl who thrives in evening hours, or someone who needs midday flexibility to handle personal responsibilities, arenaflex offers a scheduling model designed to support real life.
