Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our healthcare payer operations by analyzing claims, membership, provider, and financial data. This role will play a key part in driving data-driven decision-making across areas such as cost management, quality improvement, network performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze healthcare payer data including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and financial datasets Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business stakeholders (e.g., medical management, finance, network, and operations) Identify trends, anomalies, and cost drivers in healthcare utilization and expenses Support value-based care initiatives, including quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, STAR ratings) and risk adjustment analysis Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer business questions and guide strategic decisions Collaborate with business units to define requirements and translate them into data solutions Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting (CMS, state, and internal requirements) Partner with IT and data engineering teams on data extraction, transformation, and validation Document methodologies, business definitions, and reporting processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Finance, or related field 2–5+ years of experience in data analysis (healthcare payer environment strongly preferred) Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar Solid understanding of healthcare payer data (claims, eligibility, provider data) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
