These roles focus on delivering specialized services to students requiring social-emotional assistance, with one position covering a two-month leave and another pending for the 2026-2027 academic year. Locations include Schenectady, NY, with assignments in special education environments:
- Glencliff Elementary School: 1.0 FTE for a 2-month leave covering September-October 2026
- Niskayuna High School: 1.0 FTE for the 2026-2027 school year (pending final approval)
Key responsibilities involve collaboration with educational staff and families to support student well-being, developing intervention plans, and facilitating telehealth or in-person sessions tailored to individual student needs. Qualifications include:
- New York State Teaching Certification as a School Social Worker
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a preference for LCSW licensure
- Experience in special education settings and familiarity with telehealth modalities strongly preferred
