Online Bookkeeping Jobs – Remote Part-Time Accountant
Job Summary Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Part-Time Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks for our expanding portfolio of clients. This is a fully remote role ideally suited for individuals who enjoy working independently and have a solid foundation in accounting principles and digital finance tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly while supporting timely reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping activities

Record transactions in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms
- *
Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts regularly
- *
Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
- *
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- *
Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
- *
Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting
- *
Support payroll processes and coordinate with external auditors when needed
- *
Adhere to internal controls and help implement process improvements
- Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing one)

Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, or similar platforms

Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- *
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role (freelance or in-house)

Freshers with strong academic knowledge and software skills may also be considered

Flexible part-time schedule (15–25 hours per week)
